Exercise: The Key to “Superaging”

Lisa Feldman Barrett is a distinguished professor of psychology at Northeastern University and author of the recently published “How Emotions Are Made: The Secret Life of the Brain.” In this video, the CrossFit Journal’s Andréa Maria Cecil sits down with Barrett to discuss the neuroscience behind “superaging” and what role exercise plays.

A superager, Barrett explains, is someone older than 60 who “has a memory that functions indistinguishably from (that of) a 25-year-old.”

The parts of the brain that regulate memories also contribute to emotional and physical health, Barrett says. The best thing you can do to improve your emotional health, she suggests, is improve your physical health: get enough sleep, exercise vigorously and eat well.

And, she notes, humans are social creatures, so working out in a group setting can also encourage healthy behavior. We help regulate each other’s nervous systems, Barrett explains, so exercising together can motivate people to make better choices.

Intense Abs Workout! Yar! I've been doing this abs workout twice a week. My abs has definitely become more defined. To get abs, diet plays a very important role so try to eat as clean and healthy as possible. Also doing HIIT cardio will really help. I have recently put up a video about that too. Also, let me know if you like this video format better! 😀

Guys I thought I'll give another quick tip! If you want to get nice result you will have to engage your core while doing the exercises. You will have to keep your ab muscles contracted while doing the exercises. If your muscle is relaxed then you're basically not working your core muscle, you're using the rest of your body to do the movement. In that case, you won't get to see the result. Also I have put up another cardio abs routine that helps burns fats and define your abs. Try to do both of these to get nice abs! My abs have gotten more defined recently doing these two together. 🙂 https://youtu.be/FxYg29MpT90

started this intense workout and it is really intense cuz i almost died . 1st day like the comment if u want updates hope i will see a result in a week or 2 cuz the summer is coming 😧🙈

Is that really abs? Because i had that stomach too, there's two lines but i dont understand why mines big and how did i achieve those lines.
