Gas has gotten ridiculously expensive, and it was time to put the car on a fuel diet. Out of rebellion I stopped putting gas into my car but kept driving around. One day, sooner rather than later, my car stopped in the middle of the road. Completely out of gas I sat there pouting and mad at my car. Yes, this is not a real story, and yet this happens to people every day. What’s worse is that no one would ever attempt not giving our cars gas, it’s really a no brainer, yet we do this to our bodies all the time, all while getting mad at it for breaking down and getting sick when we feed it junk, or no food at all.

How ludicrous and illogical!

Somehow we still try these diets that scream “starve me, starve me” even though we know they don’t work. Did you know that 95{c942b8bbd39434854c8ef92e91b384b6dd289f9edeef465467e53c6d5c3c1fa4} of all diets fail?

So instead of depriving your body from food, what about simply adding three powerful weight loss enhancing foods, that can encourage your natural weight loss. There are no foods to cut out, only foods to add, here they are:

1. Squeeze 2 pink grapefruits each day and drink on an empty stomach. Make sure that you do not add sugar or any other sweeteners to it and that you do not eat at least 15 afterwards. When I first heard this, I was certain that my bladder wouldn’t be able to handle it, but I listened and was amazed at how easily the weight started to come off and I was also hungry a lot less. You will realize that you won’t be as hungry as you were before, because your body was actually telling you that you were thirsty. It’s important to drink water without ice or lemons added to it.

3. Foods that contain high-water content are excellent for you. In particular they are great snack foods. These foods rich in water content are tasty foods such as dikon radish, other radishes, celery sticks, and iceberg lettuce to name a few. The are better if eaten raw than cooked. Such foods also give you a feeling of being full and their juices do a great job in flushing out those non-productive cells.

The map shows increase in annual mean surface concentration of particulate matter resulting from ammonia emissions associated with food export. Every 32 seconds, someone in the United States dies of heart disease. It is the leading killer of both men and women, claiming approximately a million lives each year. Heart disease is also the leading cause of death worldwide. While its toll on human life is staggering, so is its economic impact on society. Currently, heart and blood vessel diseases cost a whopping $ 164.3 billion a year to treat.

If you’re concerned about beating our nation’s number-one killer and. who isn’t? you’ll be excited about the power and promise of pyruvate.

Pyruvate appears to protect the heart in at least three possible ways. One is that supplementation may reduce levels of LDL cholesterol (the artery-clogging variety) in the body. In a study of forty middle-aged, obese subjects who followed a high-fat, high-cholesterol diet (similar to what the average American eats) for 6 weeks, the pyruvate-supplemented group reduced their LDL cholesterol by 4 percent, whereas no such change occurred in the placebo-supplemented control group. Of course, this is just a single study more evidence is needed to confirm pyruvate’s possible cholesterol-lowering effect but a promising study nonetheless.

The older you are, since the body’s supply of pyruvate naturally declines as you age.

In addition to LDL cholesterol, another culprit in heart disease is ischemia, a lack of oxygen to the heart that injures heart tissue and can lead to a heart attack. If tissue is labeled “ischemic,” this means it lacks a blood supply.

In one study, researchers gave pyruvate to rats whose hearts had been damaged by ischemia. What they found was intriguing: Pyruvate significantly improved the hearts’ recovery after supplementation, compared with nonpyruvate-treated hearts. There are two possible explanations for this heart-protective effect. First, the researchers found that pyruvate reduced the formation of superoxide free radicals a type of free radical that is particularly harmful to the mitochondria in heart cells. Second, pyruvate nearly halted the release of purines from the heart muscle in the treated hearts. Purines are naturally occurring substances in the body. Their release is a signal that the heart muscle has been damaged. There is some anecdotal (unscientific) evidence that pyruvate may heal ischemic heart tissue in humans, but scientific studies are needed to verify this.

In another animal study, pyruvate was shown to improve cardiac function by increasing the amount of blood pumped by the heart, strengthening its ability to contract, and building up the amount of oxygen in the veins.

Of course, much more research into pyruvate’s effect on the heart is needed to further document its preliminary promise.

The same researchers at the University of Pittsburgh who conducted the pioneering research on pyruvate have also looked into its effect on tumor growth in animals. They implanted rats with breast cancer cells and administered supplemental pyruvate. Pyruvate reduced tumor weight by 40 percent and metastasis (spreading of the tumor) by 42 percent. The tumors also shrank in size. The reasons for these effects are unknown, although the explanation could ultimately lie in pyruvate’s ability to fend off free radicals. But more studies are needed to shed light on pyruvate’s possible role in treating cancer.

Without a doubt, pyruvate is an exciting supplement. The question is: How much should you take?

The fat-fighting doses of pyruvate used in most of the experimental studies are quite high (28 to 100 grams a day). Using therapeutic that pairs pyruvate with another energizing nutrient, creatine. How to Lose Weight Fast Using Supplements

Pyruvate is so safe that you don’t need a doctor’s prescription, although you should always let your physician know if you are taking supplements. And, as with any supplement, if you’re diabetic or pregnant or have any medical condition, consult your physician before taking pyruvate.

Currently, pyruvate is available as sodium pyruvate, calcium pyruvate, or a combination of the two. If you take 15 grams of sodium pyruvate, you’re adding 3,000 mg of sodium to your diet. The recommended intake of sodium is between 500 mg and 2,400 mg per day, or no more than 11A teaspoons of table salt. Therefore, you’d be exceeding the healthy limits for sodium intake. Long-term use of sodium or calcium pyruvate could lead to mineral imbalances.

Fortunately, other forms of pyruvate are in the works. One would combine pyruvate with the amino acid glycine to make pyruvylglycine. This formulation would eliminate the risk of excess sodium intake and possible mineral imbalance. And before long, we may see a supplement
